Torah Day by Day
Beginning Sunday, January 8, 2012, I am reading one full "aliyah" of the Torah every day. Since each full weekly Torah portion is divided into seven aliyahs, this means I will read the whole of the Five Books of Moses, in one or two page chunks, between now and next January. To join me in this, all you need is a copy of the Bible, any translation you choose. In fact, you can just click on the links for each portion and read the text online at chabad.org. Each day's reading is a couple of pages in an average edition. By the time you get to Shabbat, you will have read the entire portion for that week. This will make it even more fun to go to synagogue and hear the reading and discussion!
Note: The current week is listed first below. If you want to start at the beginning, start at the bottom and work your way up through the previous weeks.
